Age 92, of Horseheads and formerly Watkins Glen, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2009 at Bethany Manor, Horseheads.


Aileen was born on March 6, 1916 in Corning, NY, the daughter of Harry and Ethel Tobey. She graduated from Corning Free Academy. Aileen was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed an active family life. She and her late husband “Curly” Personius founded and operated several restaurants in the local area, including Curly’s Chicken House in Elmira.


She is survived by three sons, Jack Weber (Barbara) of Port Charlotte, FL; Ronald Weber (Connie) of Tucker, Georgia; and Gary Weber of Horseheads; 10 grandchildren, David Weber, Rhonda Delmolino, Carl Weber, Rebekah Prince, Gary “Chris” Weber, Beth Ann Mattison, Lisa Neil, Chris Paterwich, Tracy Lacourse and Jim Carmin; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by her husband, Richard “Curly” W. Personius in 2002 and first husband, Carl A. Weber in 1957. Also, she was predeceased by a step-daughter Joan Heichel; brother Leon Tobey; sister Thelma Tobey; brother-in-law Harold Tobey; sister-in-law, Francis Tobey; and daughters-in-law Linda Weber and Jane Weber.


The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Monday from 1:00-2:00pm. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 2:00pm; burial will be at Hope Cemetery, Corning, NY.
