Age 66, of Montour Falls, NY, passed away at home on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. He is survived by his children, Byron Carl Dunning, Rachel Irene Smith, Mishka Anne Smith, Jacob Alan Smith; grandchildren, Joshua Aidan Dunning, Noah Avery Dunning; and a sister, Sherrie Ann Dunning. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Irene Dunning, whom he emigrated with from England in 1957. Alan worked at Cornell University in the Nuclear Physics Department until he retired. A gathering of family and friends will be held at his home at 4445 Drew Rd., Montour Falls on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00am.
