Albert P. Stooks

Age 91, of Watkins Glen, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility, Montour Falls. He is survived by his children, Albert “Gene” and wife Lonie Stooks, of Wolcott, Patsy (Richard) Kibler, of Corning, and Phyllis (Dean) Laughlin, of Bradenton, FL; also 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Albert served in the United States Army in WWII in Germany and France. He was a member of the V.F.W Post 2674 and American Legion Post 555 of Watkins Glen. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for International Salt and later AKZO in Watkins Glen. A private graveside service with military honors will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Caton, at the convenience of the family.
