Angela Kollar
Age 76, of Watkins Glen, formerly of Rocky Hill, CT, passed away peacefully at Arnot-Ogden Medical Facility in Elmira, NY on April 5, 2010. Angela was born in the Slovak Republic on May 2, 1933. Before moving to the United States, she worked as a Registered Nurse and mid-wife. Upon moving here, she worked for the Arch Diocese of Hartford, Connecticut.
Angela is survived by her loving family, including her husband, Anton Kollar; daughters, Elena Kollar of Watkins Glen, and Magdalena (husband LeRoy) Brown of Rock Hill, CT; grandchildren, Monique Elizabeth Johnson, Wesley B. Brown and Anthony B. Brown; and sister-in-law, Marta Satek of Slovak Republic.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church on Friday at 10am on April 9, 2010; The Rev. Paul Bonacci celebrant. The family receive friends and relatives prior to the mass at the chaple at St. Mary’s Church from 9:30-10am.
