Age 83, of Burdett, NY, passed away March 31, 2016. Angelina was born in St. George, Alaska on September 5, 1932; the daughter of George and Elizabeth Merculief. She was one of 12 children. She was raised in Alaska by her mother and step-father, Elary Gromoff, and later moved to California before eventually moving to Burdett, NY. She retired as the cook for the Office for the Aging. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Richard Covert; five children, Richard Covert, Sandra Kelley, Robert Covert, Timothy Covert I, and Sharon Covert; grandson, Richard Covert Ellison; and siblings, Mabel, Nicholas, Elary, Peter, Father Ishmael, Zena, and Betty. She is survived by four children, Cheryl (Ronald) Pike of Burdett, Michael Covert of Victor, Timothy Covert of Burdett, and Sue (Michael) Rentschler of Burdett; four siblings, Alice, Jeannie, Elary, and Piama; seven grandchildren, James (Jen) Kelley, Cheryl Kelley, Rich (Stacy) Pike, Brian Rentschler, Tim Rentschler, Zena Covert, and Elizabeth Covert. A Memorial Service will be held at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Saturday (April 9th) at 11:00am; followed by burial at Hector Union Cemetery.
