Arch L. Lewis Jr.

Age 93, of Watkins Glen, passed away December 8, 2025 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls.

Arch was born in Watkins Glen in the Town of Dix on July 3, 1932, the son of Arch L. Lewis Sr. and Esta (Smith) Lewis. He married Shirley (Shaw) Lewis on April 17, 1954. He was predeceased by his devoted wife of 67 years in 2022. He was also predeceased by 2 brothers, Tracy and Jack Lewis and two sisters, Ruth Bassney and Jeanne Wolverton. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Arch and Shirley formerly attended the Moreland Presbyterian Church and were members of the Montour Moose Club. Arch will be remembered as a John Deere fan.

A graveside committal service at Chapel Knoll Cemetery, 3734 Meads Creek Road, in Painted Post will be held in the spring. Memories of Arch may be left in his obituary at www.RoyceChedzoy.com The Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home of Watkins Glen is assisting the family.
