Age 70, of Walt Gilbert Road, Watkins Glen, passed away on January 5, 2017.
Carol was born in Rochester, NY, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Sager) Bruce. She graduated from Avoca Central School and Olean Business Institute. She worked in Medical Records at St. James’ Hospital until she became a homemaker, raising six children. She also worked many years driving for Hertz Enterprise. She enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, ceramics, crocheting, camping and working on the family farm. She also helped her husband deliver the Hi-Lites for many years. Carol especially loved and enjoyed her family and family gatherings.

Carol was predeceased by her parents, son Harry Wilson, and special daughter-in-law, Debra Wilson; and mother-in-law, Araminta Howe. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Charles L. Wilson, Sr.; daughters, Noel (Michael) Wheaton, and Holly Wilson (Scott Brace); step-sons that she always considered her own, Charles L. Wilson, Jr., of Chesapeake, VA; Robert (Donna) Wilson of Daytona, FL; David (Susan) Wilson of Fort Plain, NY; daughter-in-law, Rose Wilson of Lindley, NY; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; Linda Wilson; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved.

The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Tuesday (Jan. 10) from 12pm-2pm; followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00pm at the funeral home and interment at Beaver Dams Cemetery.
