Clara A. Derrig

Age 88, of Watkins Glen, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Schuyler Hospital, Montour Falls, NY after a brief illness.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 1:00-2:00pm; with funeral services following at 2:00pm.

Clara was a communicant of St. Mary’s of the Lake Church and lifelong resident of Watkins Glen.

Clara was born July 13, 1922 in South Waverly, Pennsylvania; the daughter of Francis and Victoria Sindoni. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John F. and Doris Derrig of Cape Coral, Florida; daughter, Donna Foote of Waverly, New York; brother, Frank Sindoni of South Waverly, Pennsylvania; 5 grandchildren, Candice (Jason) Petacchio and John Derrig, Jr., all of Cape Coral, FL; Kenny Foote of Georgia, Kimberly Foote of Syracuse, and Jonathan Foote of Philadelphia; 3 great-grandchildren, Lucas Foote, Nicholas Foote, and Ariana Petacchio; bother-in-law, Philip Herrick of Binghamton; special nieces and nephews, Philip Herrick, Jr., Margo Greene, Darlene Herrick, Victoria Sindoni, James Sindoni; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
