Clara N. Of Jefferson Village in Watkins Glen, passed away unexpectedly September 29, 2006 peacefully at home. The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Tuesday from 12-2:00 p.m., with a funeral service directly to follow at 2:00 p.m. She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Robert Bastian of Elmira, NY, Kandy and Thomas Bartlett of Plano, TX, and Dorothy and James Pittman of Wallkill, NY; also brothers and sisters, Ralph Sr. (Joyce) Christian of Chemung, NY, Theodore Christian of Elmira, NY, Catherine (Sylvester) Lauferswiler of Elmira, NY, Marie (Larry) Butters of Elmira, NY, John (Elizabeth) Christian of Woody Creek, NC; and special friend, her ex son-in-law, John M. Smith, Sr. She had ten grandchildren which she loved very dearly, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; very special longtime friends, Judy Kniffin and Dagmar Arcesi; and a host of others in the local community.
