Age 52, of Freeville, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Cindy was born July 16, 1964 to Andrew and Phyllis Gardner in Montour Falls. Cindy is survived by her 3 children and families; Brandon (Sheryl) Percey and their children Marcus and Adelle of Dryden, Zachary (Alicia Bamford) Percey and their children Kaylee and Madilyn of Spencer, and daughter Juliana Salamino at home. A graduate of Odessa-Montour Central School, Cindy was known as an outstanding Left Handed shortstop and was inducted into the OMCS Hall of Fame. She was currently employed at Kelly’s Dock-side Cafe in Ithaca where she made many friends who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her father, Andrew, first husband Scott Percey and husband Marc Salamino. Also, survived by her siblings, Douglas (Gayle) Gardner, Philip (Lorraine) Gardner, Karen (James) Slaven Jr, and Nancy (Mickey) Fraboni, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cindy was predeceased by her mother, Phyllis, in 2015. The family will receive visitors at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St, Watkins Glen on Saturday, April 22 from 9am to 11am; with a private committal service and burial at Highland Cemetery, Odessa.
