Dennis Sharkey

Age 79, of Rock Stream, NY, passed away June 29, 2024.

Dennis was born in Queens, NY on August 30, 1944, the son of William Sharkey and Alice (Freeman) Frazier. After school, he served in the US Army, and eventually settled in Rock Stream. He raised his family and their food on the Mak’n Farm, raising many of their own animals, including chickens, goats, pigs, sheep, calves and horses. 

He is survived by his wife Darlene; sons, Dennis Sharkey, Douglas (Jamie) Sharkey, Joseph Sullivan, and James Sullivan; daughters, Rebecca Morris, and Yvonne (Nelson) Mojica; sister, Beverly (Mitchell) Rea; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and brother and sister, Douglas Thompson and Sharon Sharkey.
