Douglas L. Freeman

Age 83, of Horseheads, NY, passed away April 5, 2025.

Doug was born in Montour Falls, the son of Gilbert and Marie (Porter) Freeman. He was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy and retired from Howell Packaging in Elmira.

He was predeceased by his brother and sister and their spouses, Robert (Betty) Freeman and Marylou (Richard) Sowers; brother-in-law, Carl Drake; and sister-in-law, Sue Freeman. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Drake of Horseheads, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Max and Mary Alice Freeman of Valois, and James Freeman of Elmira; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Saturday (April 12th) from 12pm-1pm; followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm; and burial at Seneca Union Cemetery in Valois. A reception will be announced.
