Earl Barrett

Earl Laport Barrett, 90, of Okeechobee, Florida, passed away October 20, 2010 at 7:35am from a long fight with cancer. Born February 22, 1920 in Burlington, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Lloyd Barrett and Dorothy Alexander Barrett in early years. Earl lived a long, happy life, served in the Air Force, was a mechanic at General Electric and married the love of his life Anna Barrett. Directly after he retired, they moved to Okeechobee and have lived in the sunshine state for last 28 years. Earl was predeceased by his wife, Anna Barrett; father, Lloyd Barrett; mother, Dorothy Alexander Barrett; brothers, Howard Barrett, Duane Barrett, Frederick Barrett, Lloyd Barrett, Jr.; and sister, Myrtle (Barrett) Wandell; niece, Ann (Barber) Easling; and nephew, Robert B. Barber, Jr. Earl was survived by sisters, Nina (Bob) Barber and Doris Williams; several nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00am-12:00pm on Tuesday (Oct 26th) at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm. The committal service and burial with military honors will be held at 2:30pm at Mountain Lake Cemetery in Burlington, PA.
