Age 66, passed away July 16, 2013. Ed was the owner and operator of the Village Variety Shop in Watkins Glen. A private funeral service will be held at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home in Watkins Glen. The family wishes to invite friends to celebrate and remember Ed’s life at a gathering on Monday, July 22, from 4pm-6pm at the Montour Moose Lodge, St. Rte. 14, Montour Falls. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol; children, Thomas Peters, Michael Peters (Melanie), Carol Taormina (Martin), Jennifer Peters, Vicky Grinolds, Lori Bernagozzi, and James Peters (Darlene); brothers, Thomas (Carol) Peters, and Victor (Christine) Peters; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 1316 College Ave., Ste. 2, Elmira, NY 14901.
