Elizabeth Ann Ferri

April 1, 1935 — February 8, 2022

Elizabeth Ann Ferri

Age 86, of Beaver Dams, NY, went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2022.

Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia on April 1, 1935, the daughter of the late John and Dorothea Weisser. She worked as the secretary at the Watkins Glen Central School for many years.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, husband of 50 years, George Ferri Sr.; son George Ferri Jr., daughter Anita (John)McCarthy, and brother John Weiser.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Doolittle; and her son Mark Ferri, brothers, David Weiser, Timothy and Michael Weiser; nine grandchildren, Travis Friele, Mathew Elliott (deceased) Shannon Cornish, Sara (Matt) Matwiejow, Brian Doolittle, Ivy, Hannah, Noelle and Taylor McCarthy; ten great-grandchildren, Kayla and Brandy Cornish, Meagan Rivera, Sierra Cornish, Madison and Marshall Matwiejow, Oliver McCarthy, Celeste Dale, Briah Koehler and Preston DuPay; and two great- great grandchildren, Avalynn Carmel and Skylar Cornish.

Elizabeth along with her husband George built their old fashion log home from the ground up where they raised their children and also shared treasured memories with friends and family. Elizabeth spent her life embracing the things she loved which entailed raising and showing horses and sharing that passion with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting, and spending time with the ones she held dear. Her fondness of animals brought the occasional forest friend to her door step where she welcomed, fostered and set free. One such experience led her to publish a children's book, “Raising Felicia Fawn,” based on her real-life experience. Elizabeth also enjoyed time traveling with her husband in their later years together.

A Requiem Eucharist funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on April 2, 2022 at St. James’ Episcopal Church, 112 Sixth Street, Watkins Glen.
