Age 91, of Horseheads, NY, passed away April 4, 2007.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8pm at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A funeral service will be held there at 8:00pm; Rev. Patrick Holder officiating; burial at Chemung Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gary Weber, of Horseheads; grandchildren, Gary Christopher (Sarah) Weber, of Brunswick, Maine; and Rebekah (Jonathan) Prince, of Mississauga, Ontario; 2 great-grandchildren, Laura Prince and Aaliyah Weber; and sister-in-law, Norma Hood, of Horseheads. She was predeceased by her husband Hugh “Woody” Woodhouse; parents Deo and Susie (Green) Hood; brother Dr. Gerald Hood, and a great-granddaughter, Lilly.

Ethlyn was a teacher assistant and secretary to the principle of Horseheads Elementary School from 1958-1976. Ethlyn and her husband where married June 14, 1940 at the Oakwood United Methodist Church in Elmira Heights, where she was a member of the church for almost 70 years.
