Fritz “Junior” Janowsky
Age 82, of Gillett, PA; passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Chemung Christian Fellowship Church, 726 Main St., Chemung, NY 14825. A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm at the church; Pastor Randy Stilson officiating. The committal service and burial will be held at Hanlon Hill Cemetery at a later date. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Joyce, on April 17, 2012. Also grandson Jorden; two brothers, and two sisters. Junior is survived by his loving sons, Ivan and William Janowsky; three grandchildren, Jason, Kara, and Max Janowsky; and one great-grand-daughter, Tayia Janowsky; brother, Richard (Linda) Janowsky; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Florence (Harold) Langeland, Norman Chandler (Ellen Wolcott), Delores (Ora) Whipple, Robert (Lila) Chandler, Mary Foster, and Dale (Leona) Chandler. Junior was an avid fisherman, hunter and sportsman. And, he enjoyed square dancing with his wife. He was a lifetime member of the Moose - Horseheads Chapter 1476; Corning Carpenters Union Local 1599, the Fur, Fin and Feather Club of Elmira, and the Ridgebury Sportsman Club.
