Age 73 of Montour Falls, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her friends and family on Monday December 5, 2016. Geraldine was born on October 3, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to Caroline and William Manz. She moved with her family to Tyrone in 1977 and has called Montour Falls her home since 1991 where she has lived with The Arc of Schuyler and attended their day program full time.
Gerry was a very spirited woman who loved to stay active. She was an avid connoisseur of coffee. She enjoyed taking walks around her community and spending time with her friends.
Gerry is survived by her sister, Carol Lancelot of Largo, Florida, nephews, Scott, Bobby, and Greg with their families and niece, Lorayne, with her family. She was predeceased by her parents, brother-in-law, Bob, and nephew, Steven. Gerry is also survived by her entire family at The Arc of Schuyler, who will miss her greatly.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E.4th St., Watkins Glen on Friday December 9, 2016 from 11:00am-12:00pm. A celebration of Gerry’s life will be held at the funeral home at 12:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Geraldine’s name, may be made to The Arc of Schuyler, 203 Twelfth St., Watkins Glen.
There’s a very special place, beyond the skies above, somewhere very peaceful, full of light and love. A special place called heaven, where you are free.
