Harold E. Forney, Sr.
Age 79, of Hector, NY passed away on August 16, 2022 at home after an extended illness.
He was born on July 11,1943 in Baltimore, MD.
He was predeceased by his parents, Zolona Hoff and Frank Forney; father and mother-in-law, Otis and Gladys Bush; brothers and sisters-in-law, Phil Bond, Sonny and Pat Champion, Harley and Suzanne Johnson, Richard and Caryl Bush, and George Bush;stepson Craig Gallow; and granddaughter Allison Gallow.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Judy Gallow Forney; sons Harold Forney, Jr of Elmira, NY and Jeffrey Forney of Ithaca, NY; brother Allen (Jeanne) Forney of Brookville, MD; stepchildren, Richard (Penny) Gallow of Claremont, NH, Heather (Van) Cote' of West Palm Beach, FL, Nicole (Steve) Ryan of Hector, NY; dear friend William Gardner of Watkins Glen, NY; sister-in-law Wilma Bond, Hector NY; brother-in-law Charles (Connie) Bush of Michigan; daughter-in-law Melissa Gallow of Hector NY; grandchildren, Jeffrey Forney Jr, Tanner Ryan, Madison Ryan, Justin Cote', Daniel Cote', Kaylin Gallow Teed, Bradley Gallow, Jacob Gallow, Courtney Galda, and Makaila Gallow; great-grandchildren, Leah and Mya Teed; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Harold was a retired truck driver and an accomplished jack of all trades, but especially enjoyed working on engines. He loved going camping with family and friends, but his favorite past time was meeting his breakfast buddies every morning at local diners.
