Harold G. Harris
Age 79, of Watkins Glen, passed away unexpectedly as a result of an automobile-pedestrian incident on Sunday, July 31, 2011.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday from 5-7pm at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A funeral service will follow at 7:00pm at the funeral home; Rev. Mark Flandreau officiating; burial Friday at 10am at Glenwood Cemetery. Harold was predeceased by his parents, LeRoy and Ida Harris; sisters, Iva Jennings and Mary Harris; and brothers, Walter, Charles, Gordon, and Clayton Harris. He is survived by sisters, Louise Fox of Tennessee, Thelma Hoyt of Watkins Glen; brother, Howard Harris of Elmira; and many nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Harold worked as a custodian at the Schuyler County Court House in Watkins Glen and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Watkins Glen. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Harold to a charity of one’s choice. You may express condolences to the family online at www.Royce-Chedzoy.com
