Harry Phillip Hoke
Age 78 of Himrod, NY passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006 at the Clifton Springs Hospital surrounded by his family. Harry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, NY on Saturday, September 23, at 4:00pm. There are no prior visiting hours. You may light a candle or leave a remembrance for his family online at www.royce-chedzoy.com.

He was born Oct. 26, 1927 in New Alexandria, PA to the late Harry Edwin Hoke and Goldie R. Elliott Hoke Wheeler.

Harry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He retired after 30 years from Thatcher Glass in 1983. After retiring, he continued to work until March 2006 as a security guard for Keuka College. He was a big race car fan, loved camping and bluegrass music.

Harry is survived by his wife, Sylvia Hoke; sons, Roger (Gail) Hoke, of Deltona, FL, Glenn (Carol) Hoke, of Dundee, Raymond Hoke, of Palatka, FL; daughters, Durene Hoke, of Penn Yan, Goldie Hoke, of Dresden; step-daughters, Belinda Learn, of Bath, Brenda Watson, of Avoca; brothers, Kenneth Hoke, of Wayne, Richard (Anna) Hoke, of Poughkeepsie; sister, Belle (Floyd) Isabelle, of Beaver Dams; sister-in-law, Elaine Hoke, of Beaver Dams; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother, John Hoke; sister, Irene Folly; and son, Brenton Hoke.
