James S. Bardeen
Age 74, of Burdett, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at home. The family will receive visitors at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 11:00am-1:00pm; followed by a memorial at 1:00pm at the funeral home; and burial with military honors at Hector Union Cemetery in Burdett.
He was predeceased by his wife Leda in 2005, parents Morris and Jamesine Bardeen and brother, Brian Bardeen.
He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Bardeen of Watkins Glen, Sharon (Thomas) Wiedemer of Montour Falls; son, James (Patty) Kuttner of Omaha, NE; two grandchildren, Jared Detrick and Sara Kuttner; brother, Michael Bardeen of Burdett; sister, Susan Lurcock of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Hector Presbyterian Church. He was also an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying fishing and bird watching.
