James E. Berry
Age 94, of Watkins Glen, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility, Montour Falls.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Tuesday, from 4-6pm; with a memorial service following at 6:00pm; burial will be held at Glenwood Cemetery at a later date.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Berry; children, David (Maria) Berry of Corbettsville, NY, Patricia (Brian) Bain of Camillus, NY, Stephen (Carol) Davis of Baltimore, MD; sister, Mary Morey of Watkins Glen; six grandchildren, Corey, Scott, Kristina, Melanie, Vanessa, Ryan; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Mary Berry; son Richard Davis; brother Frank Berry, and 7 sisters, Ethel White, Helen Aubry, Edna Schultz, Monica Sharack, Alene Shannon, and Margaret Carman.
Jim was a communicant of St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church of Watkins Glen; a life member of the American Legion Post #555 of Watkins Glen; life member of B.P.O.E #1546 Lodge of Watkins Glen; and the Watkins Glen Golf Course.
He will be remembered for his love of family, friends, golf, fishing, bridge, and poetry. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Jimmy with a donation in his memory to the Schuyler County Ambulance or a charity of one’s choice.
