Age 74, of Beech Rd., Watkins Glen, NY, passed away peacefully at home April 2, 2008. The family will receive friends at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, Monday, April 7, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 8 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, James A. Mello, Jr. of Swansea, MA, Richard A. Mello of Bath, NY, Rose Marie Hippilito of Fall River, MA, Michael J. Mello of Fall River, MA; and stepson, Charles F. Dwelly of Little Compton, RI; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Jim drove truck most of his life from Swansea, MA. He and his wife moved to this area 4 years ago. Jim was an avid sportsman, who especially loved to hunt and fish. The family gratefully declines flowers.
