James M. Tucker
Age 55, of Elmira Heights, NY, passed away after a brief illness on July 15, 2016. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Reading Community Church, Reading Center, NY on Tuesday (July 19th) from 4:00pm-6:00pm; followed by a funeral service at 6:00pm at the church. A reception will be held at the church following funeral services. A committal service with military honors will be held on Friday (July 22nd) at 10:00am at Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Adele Tucker. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; their children, Lacey Tucker of Watkins Glen and Matthew Hauck (Samantha Laird-Hauck) of Elmira Heights; brothers and sisters, Patricia (Anthony) LoSecco of Florida, Margaret “Midge” (Robert) Frantz of North Carolina, Fred Tucker of Watkins Glen, Russell (Kathryn “Kitty”) Tucker of Florida; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ray and Shirley Evans of Elmira Heights, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Raymond (Shawna) Evans of North Carolina, Joseph (Amy) Crane of Watkins Glen, and Deborah (Michael) Watson of North Carolina; grandchildren, Deegan Hauck, and Rissa and Alexa Breeds; special nephews, Joe and Branden Crane; special friend, Brenda Dandrea; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was born in Montour Falls, NY. He graduated from Watkins Glen High School in 1979. After school, Jim enlisted proudly and served honorably in the United States Navy.
