Age 49, of Divide, CO passed away at home in Watkins Glen with his loving family and friends by his side on September 19, 2013, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Monday (Sept. 23) from 6pm-8pm; followed by a celebration of his life and memorial service at 8:00pm. Jeff was born on May 17, 1964 in Montour Falls, NY, the son of Clifton E. Ray and the late Sharon E. Conklin Ray. He was a 1982 graduate of Odessa-Montour. Jeff is survived by his father, Clifton E. Ray of Alpine; sisters, Lori Ray (Leland “Bud” Penhollow), Cathy (John) Fazzary, and Jennifer (Christopher) Peppard; brother, Timothy (Michel) Ray; lifetime friend, Anne Grinolds and mother of daughter, Jaclyn (Michael) Campbell; Michelle Jordan, mother of sons, Michael Jordan, Anthony Jordan, and daughter, Makayla Ray; grandsons, Hunter Mowry, Kaiden Jordan, and Jaxen Campbell; best friend and loving companion, Michelle Oakley of Florissant, CO, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many friends. Jeff was employed for several years by Mullen Industrial Handling of Syracuse, NY prior to moving to Colorado in 2004. While living in Colorado, he was employed by DH Pace and was a former owner-operator of Midwest Dock and Door. Jeff was a devoted family man who enjoyed camping, family BBQ’s, bon fires, muscle cars, and music (especially playing the drums). Jeff had a wonderful sense of humor and a huge heart-both will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
