Joseph Kelly

Joseph R. Kelly, Age 66, of Tyrone, NY, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, January 20, 2007.

The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:00am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Bradford, NY; The Rev. Gerald O’Connor and The Rev. Andrew Kalafsky, celebrants. Burial and military honors will follow at Tyrone Union Cemetery, in Tyrone, NY.

He is survived by his loving wife, Daryl Kelly; 5 children, Joseph R. Kelly, Jr. (wife Kathryn), of Cape May Court House, NJ; Karen (Jack) Vance, of London, KY, Susan Robinson, of Seaville, NJ, Cortney Kelly, of Clemson, SC, and Nicholas Kelly, of Tyrone; brother and sisters, Barbara Kelly, of Harleysville, PA, Robert (Margaret) Kelly, of Cape May Court House, NJ, and Linda Popow, of Lansdale, PA; 4 grandchildren, Jack and Katie Vance, Allison Robinson, and Elizabeth Kelly; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Aloysius and Mary (Maher) Kelly, and a brother-in-law, Robert Popow.

Mr. Kelly grew up in Philadelphia, and formerly lived and worked in North Wildwood, NJ, where he owned and operated B&K Construction.. He later moved to this area and became a Project Engineer for Corning, Inc.; and later as a Project Coordinator for Corning Museum of Glass.
