May 12, 1922 — June 25, 2013

June Louise (Bower) Soule, fondly known as “G,” “Gram,” and “Grammy,” of Reynoldsville, NY passed away June 25, 2013 at the age of 91. She was born May 12, 1922 to Raymond and Agnes Donnelly Bower. Upon graduation from Trumansburg Central School she attended the Practical Business School in Ithaca. In 1941 she and Harold were married and moved to Baltimore, MD. They returned to the area the following year and began raising their family. She enjoyed doing craft shows and attending her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s school events. A real sports enthusiast, at the age of 12 she became an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She enjoyed NASCAR and was a loyal Jeff Gordan fan. She was a member of the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church and the Reynoldsville Community Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, in 1986. After his death she worked for SCSEP in Watkins Glen under the direction of Linda Pierce. She is survived by her daughters, Sharron (John) Emrick, Shirley Soule, and Denise (Robert) Mahaney, son, Jeffrey (Mary June) Soule; grandchildren, Paige (Tim) Rumsey, Nicole Emrick, Megan Albertsman, Ryan (Jeff) Heichel, Sadye (Rob) Halpin, Taylor Soule, Bo (Tanya) Mahaney, and Blake (Alicia) Mahaney; and 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday, June 28, 4-6 p.m., followed by a memorial service at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th Street, Watkins Glen, NY. The committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church, Building and Repair Fund, Rte. 227, Burdett, NY 14818; to CareFirst 11751 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830; or a charity of one’s choice.
