Justin Beck

September 26, 1947 — July 18, 2015

Justin C. Beck
Age 67 of Trumansburg, NY, passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2015 in Raleigh, NC. Justin grew up in Kingston, NY, received his B.S. degree from SUNY Albany, served in the U.S. Army Reserve and retired as postmaster of Watkins Glen. In 1975 he married his wife, Michele, and 1977 they moved to Monarch, MT. In 1979 they returned to NY where Justin began building a cabin in the woods, and eventually their entire home, from the ground up. He was ordained by Global Ministries Fellowship in Cocoa Beach, FL and was an Associate Pastor of Shabach Tabernacle of Praise in Elmira, NY. Together with his wife Michele, they provided ministry as Truth Connection. One of their many outreaches involved Bible teaching and mentoring at Renovation House for the past nine years. Beyond the local community, Justin has impacted ministries along the east coast, as well as Ukraine and Kenya. Justin enjoyed riding his motorcycle, cross country skiing, scuba diving, attending music festivals, working on projects around the house, and vacationing with his family. When his children moved out of state, he made it a priority to stay in touch with both of them. He regularly traveled to visit them and remained actively involved in both of their lives. He loved to support those around him, and truly enjoyed sharing in any experience or activity that his friends and family were passionate about. He was always serving others as a great listener, a man with Godly wisdom, a compassionate friend, and the ultimate role model for those around him. We will remember Justin as a loving husband, a caring father, and a true servant of the Lord. The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, NY on Friday (July 24th) from 4pm-7pm; and at the Shabach Tabernacle Church, 1133 Lake St., Elmira, NY on Saturday (July 25th) from 9:30am-12noon; with a funeral service immediately to follow at 12:00pm. All guests are invited to join the family for a reception after the conclusion of the service. He is survived by his loving wife and partner of 39 years, Michele; daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Andrew Kubinski of Kingsport, TN; son, Joshua Beck of Garner, NC; mother-in-law, Mary Magrino of White Plains, NY; and brother-in-law Rick (Fran) Magrino of Harrison, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you may consider a memorial donation in his memory to the Renovation House, 379 Dean Creek Rd., Spencer, NY 14883 (or donate online at RenovationHouse.org) You may sign a guestbook, light a “Candle of Remembrance” or express condolences to the family online at RoyceChedzoy.com.
