79, of Valois, NY passed away May 1, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Keith was born in 1934 in Troy, PA, with his twin brother Kenneth to parents, Morris J. and Fannie Smith. He honorably served in the US Army and worked as an Assistant Treasurer at Shepard-Niles in Montour Falls for 34 years. He was an active volunteer for numerous organizations and projects, and an avid golfer. He was a lifelong member of the Watkins-Montour Lions Club and BPOE Lodge 1546 of Watkins Glen. He was also a volunteer for the Office of the Aging, Hector Presbyterian Church, Seneca Union Cemetery, and the Salvation Army. He was predeceased by his parents; also brothers Wayne, Leland and Donald Smith. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 54 years, Sally Jo Smith; children, Dr. Brian (Donna) Smith of Syracuse, Barbara (Roger) Swartwood of Burdett; twin brother, Kenneth (Sandra) Smith of Cape Cod, Mass.; sister, Marjorie (John) Arcangeli of Burdett; sister-in-law, Nancy Smith Masti; seven grandchildren, Garrett, Colleen, Brett, and Connor Smith, and Hilary, Makenzi and Mitchell Swartwood. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A memorial service will be held Monday at 11:00 am at the Hector Presbyterian Church; followed by interment with military honors at Seneca Union Cemetery.
