Keith Thomas Voorheis
Age 87, of Burdett, NY, passed away July 11, 2026.
Keith was born on May 18, 1939, the son of Keith C. Voorheis and Mary B. (White) Voorheis. He married Nancy L. (Bush), and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage until her passing on June 1, 2022. He was also predeceased by their son, Keith L. Voorheis; brothers Doug and Paul Voorheis, sister-in-law Carolyn Voorheis, brother-in-law Arvine Pike
He is survived by his daughter Gen (James) Switzer of Candor; daughter-in-law Kelly Voorheis-Brimhall of Burdett, brothers Charles, and John (Tracy) Voorheis of Burdett; sister-in-law, Doris Pike of Burdett; seven grandchildren, Christopher Switzer, Cindy (Josh) Briggs, Courtney Switzer, Clifford (Danielle) Switzer, Taylor Voorheis, Keith Ryan Voorheis, and Jessica (Cody) Bryans; 13 great-grandchildren Loren, Layla, Liam, Lydia Switzer, Gracie Lee, Brantley, Wayne, Payton - Delgado, Freya Baker, Fiona, Keith Colton, Cooper Voorheis, and Thomas Bryans; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He served our country in the United States Air Force, and was employed by Borg Warner for 42 years. He was a great caregiver to Nancy in her later years. He was a member of the Reynoldsville Community Club and Church, American Legion and Moose Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and breakfast at the Burdett Firehouse with family and the retirees at Chef's Gathering.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Saturday (July 25th) from 10am-12pm; followed by a funeral service at 12pm; and burial at Hector Union Cemetery in Burdett. All are welcome at the Burdett Firehouse for food and reminiscing after the committal service.
