Kevin L. “Thumper” Thorpe

Age 46, of Burdett, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 after a brief battle with cancer.

He is survived by his life partner, Alice Clawson and her children, Jeff (Sharon) Clawson, Mary (Harley) Connelly, Judy Randall, Brenda (Dan) Towner; parents, Ronie and Roberta Thorpe; brothers and sisters, Daniel (Joan) Thorpe, Tessie (Bill) Osborne, Trina (Tim) Wood, Charles (Martha) Thorpe, Matthew (Suzanne) Thorpe; best friend Harley Connelly; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, NY on Friday Oct. 16, 2009 from 3:00-7:00pm; a funeral service will be held at the conclusion of services at 7:00pm; Rev. J. Keith Kissel officiating.

Thumper worked for Silverline Construction and was a member of the Burdett Fire Department. Those wishing to remember him may consider a donation in memory to the Burdett Fire Dept.
