Laura Mae “Hamilton” Towner
Age 96 of Beaver Dams, formerly of Campbell, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021.
She was born to Charles and Anna Hamilton on November 12, 1924 in Thurston, New York. She married Ray Towner Sr. on December 11, 1941 in Thurston, New York. She was predeceased by Charles, her father, Anna her mother and loving husband, Ray Towner Sr., of 48 years. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Pona Towner. She was predeceased by her sister, Adelaide Tucker and granddaughter, Beth Rogers Bucio.
She has three children: Joyce (Gary Sr.) Cosgrove of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jeannie Kohler of Mooresville, North Carolina, and Ray Jr. Towner (Mary Naylor) of Beaver Dams, New York. Stepchildren, Theresa (John) Sornberger of Painted Post and Heather (Dale) Stalbird of Campbell.
She had 13 grandchildren; Brenda Cosgrove Dandrea, Gary Cosgrove Jr., Jimmy (Sharon) Cosgrove, Michael (Karen) Cosgrove, Cindy Cosgrove Cargain, Treci Rogers (Pat Grander), Jennifer Cisco-Tyler (Bud Tyler), Becky Rogers-Briggs (Blake Briggs), Beth Rogers Bucio (Javier Bucio), Debra Hall, Julie Towner, Cheryl Hall (Scott Wenck), Ray lll (Susan) Towner.
She also had several great grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Her daughter, Jeannie Kohler, age78, passed away the same day in Mooresville, North Carolina.
She left behind her beloved dog, Zoe, whom she loved dearly.
