Lee N. Houseknecht

Age 64, of Watkins Glen, passed away at home on Sunday, December 12, 2010.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th, Watkins Glen, on Friday, Dec. 17th, from 2-4pm and 6-7pm; a Masonic and funeral service will immediate follow at the funeral home at 7:00pm. A committal service will be held at Muncy Cemetery, Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 12:30 pm.

He is predeceased by parents Charles and Betty Houseknecht of Muncy, PA. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Virginia; daughter, Ashley of Locke, NY; brother-in-law, Tim (Hunter) Gundlach of Richmond, VA; sister-in-law, Heidi Gundlach (Stephen DiGiulian) of Arlington, VA; niece and nephews; Aunt and Uncles, Mary Lou and Robert Hanson of Endicott, and Stanley Houseknecht of Muncy, PA.; and several first and second cousins.

Lee was a graduate of Penn State University and Elmira College, and was an avid Penn State and Yankee fan. Lee retired in 2003 from the Elmira Correctional Facility as a Business and Computer Science Vocational Instructor. Lee was consummate reader and a longtime member of the Myrtle-Jefferson Masonic Lodge in Montour Falls.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers: Masonic Brotherhood Foundation, Inc, Watkins Glen Public Library, or Muncy High School Adult Booster Club.
