Burdett, NY: On June 27, 2012 in the early morning hours, Lena W Ely passed away peacefully at home surrounded by those who loved her most. She was the widow of Floyd R. Ely who died in January 2007, and a daughter of the late Albert and Tressie Wray of the Corning area. She is survived by her beloved daughter and caregiver Marie Ely (Robert Sr.) Baumgardner; daughter, Margaret E (Norm)Ward; son, David (Irina) Ely and; daughter, Mary (David) Moore; seven, grandchildren, including her beloved Daniel Ely; and four great-grandchildren. Lena is also survived by her brother, Thomas Wray of Corning; her sister, Phyllis Jones of Painted Post; her brother-in-law, Frances Borden of Mocksville, NC; and many loving nieces and nephews, including Craig (Amber) Gehr. Celebration of Lena’s life will be at noon on Friday June 29, 2012, at Hector Presbyterian Church with internment in the church cemetery. The family will provide flowers.
