Lynn Scheuer

Age 63, of Burdett, NY, passed away at home under the loving care of Hospice and her family, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, July 15, 2008.

According to her wishes, there are no prior visiting hours. A funeral service in her memory will be celebrated at 2:00pm on Monday, July 21, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church, 520 N. Decatur St., Watkins Glen; Rev. Beverly Karr-Lyon will officiate. Burial and committal services will be held at Seneca Union Cemetery in Valois.

She is survived by her loving husband, Walter B. Scheuer; her sons, Thomas (wife Lynn) Sharkey, of Stafford, VA, and Donald Sharkey, of Amagansett, NY; stepchildren Jeanne Scheuer of Massapequa, LI, and Paul Scheuer of Seaford, LI; and a grandson, Thomas G. Sharkey.

Lynn and her husband formerly worked at the Catherine Court Apartments in Montour Falls and operated a Bed & Breakfast at their home. Lynn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Watkins-Montour Lions Club.

Memorial donations in memory of Lynn may be made to the Guthrie Cancer Center, 114 Columbia St., Corning, NY 14830.
