Marialana Kennedy

Marialana Travis Kennedy, 76, of Beaver Dams, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026 at home, surrounded by her family.  

Marialana was the beloved wife of Lewis C. Kennedy (Junie), with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She devoted more than 20 years of her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and home health aide. Her compassion, kindness, and dedication touched the lives of countless patients and families.

Marialana was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Lorena Travis, and her son-in-law, Richard Robinson.

Above all, Marialana’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother to five children: Christina (Mike), Shelly, Kevin, Scott, and Wendy. She was a proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy. She also leaves behind her beloved four-legged companion, Peanut, who brought her endless comfort and companionship.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marialana’s life on Monday, July 14, at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home at 212 E. 4th St. in Watkins Glen.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Sugar Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Schuyler County Humane Society in Marialana’s memory, honoring her love and compassion for animals.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
