98 of Hector, New York went home to the Lord on Friday, December 8, 2017. Marie was born on August 26, 1919 in Niagara Falls, NY. She was one of 9 children. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years Carl L. Bubb, Sr., and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children: son Carl L. Bubb, Jr. (wife Jan Bubb), daughter Janet Smith (husband Peter Smith), all of Hector and daughter Beverly Goulding (husband Charles Goulding) of New Hope, PA; and brother, James Fadel of Niagara Falls. She has 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth Zirkle of Wake Forest, NC, Laura Burger of Alexandria, VA, Matt Smith, Jesse Smith, Cole Bubb, Keith Bubb, Drew Bubb all of Hector, NY; 11 great grandchildren. Marie was a teachers’ aid at Thomas Edison High School and worked with children with special needs. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 16, at 1:00pm at First Presbyterian Church of Hector, NY. The family will receive friends at the church prior to services from 12pm-1pm. A reception will be held at the church following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Schuyler Hospital Auxiliary, 220 Steuben St., Montour Falls, NY 14865 or a charity of one’s choice.
