Mary (Doland) Lisowski 

Age 85, of Montour Falls, and formerly Watkins Glen, passed away September 16, 2025 at home.

Mary was born in Montour Falls on October 12, 1939, the daughter of Archie and Helen (Kimble) LaRue. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide and Teaching Assistant at Watkins Glen Elementary School for 22 years. She loved working with the kids and her dedication and patience will always be remembered by those who worked with her. As the family matriarch, her unwavering, loyal, loving and dedication to her family will be greatly missed in all the ways that matter.

She was predeceased by her husbands, E. Grant Doland and Michael Lisowski; son Timothy Grant Doland; daughter Terry A. Lafever; brothers, Cliff LaRue, Melvin LaRue, and Richard LaRue. Also, lifelong friend, Sharon Bingell.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Barry Bruner; grandchildren, Adam Dobson (Kristen), Tammy Jean Francois (Wagner), Douglas LaFever, Brittany Williams, and Zachery Doland, her late sons fiancée Nita Masciarelli. Also, great-grandchildren, Carlton, Mya Rose, Kaleigh, and Reagan; several beloved nieces and nephews, and her cherished 4-legged companion, Buddy.

The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 East 4tTH Street, Watkins Glen on Saturday (Sept. 27th) from 2pm-4pm; followed by a memorial service at 4pm; and burial at Lakeview Cemetery in Watkins Glen. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Schuyler Humane Society (SchuylerHumane.org).
