WATKINS GLEN: 86, of Watkins Glen, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Friday (March 11) from 4:00-6:00pm. A PRIVATE FUNERAL AND COMMITTAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT THE CONVENIENCE OF THE FAMILY; and burial at Rock Stream Cemetery. Max was born in Wellsboro, PA, the son of the late Charles and Leona Moore. He was a teacher and also coached basketball at Watkins Glen Central School, and retired in 1985. Max was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Alice Moore in 2013. He was also predeceased by a brother, Frank J. Moore. He is survived by his three sons, Max Moore II of Walled Lake, MI, Michael (Valerie) Moore of Burdett, and Mark (Catey) Moore of Washougal, WA; sister, Mercedes Goodreau of Wellsboro, PA; brother-in-law, William (Sybil) Forsythe of Michigan City, Indiana; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to American Diabetes Association, 6390 Fly Rd., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
