Michiel Barr

Age 52, of Bennettsburg, NY passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, August 19, 2008.


The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., on Monday, August 25th, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service in her memory will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Watkins Glen, on Tuesday at 10:00am; Rev. Beverly Karr-Lyon officiating; burial at Union Cemetery of Hector, Burdett, NY.


Michiel is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Nate Barr; sons, Adam (Heather) Barr of Bennettsburg, and Ryan (Angela) Barr of Burdett; father, Lincoln Wager of Watkins Glen; mother, Sylvia Herrington of Bradford; sister, Debra (Raymond) Bailey of Beaver Dams; brothers, Kevin (Meg) Wager of Lockport, Larry (Becky) Wager of Berkshire; grandchildren, Alana Conway, Thomas Barr, Sarah Barr, Hannah Barr, Lucas Barr, and Olivia Barr; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Barr of Burdett; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, John Nathan Barr, Jr.; and brother and sister, Bruce and Penny Wager.


Michiel was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she also served as Deacon. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
