NEWELL, Jackie Eck
Age 83, of Burdett, October 19, 2013.
Having waited for a night of the full moon
in order to have a more perfect light,
Jackie Eck Newell left this world
for one with a better view.
We are sure that horses will be in the scene.
In these days of blurred lines and rules,
she always maintained her artist’s eye
for conformation and correctness,
and most generally was unafraid to tell you so.
She will be missed by all,
and most especially, the horse community
which she so loved.
Survivors include husband, Ralph (Junie) Newell; daughter, Stasia (Tim) Dunlap; son, Peter (Anna) Newell; nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service November 16, 2013 at Bethel Fellowship Church, 2035 State Rt. 14, Montour Falls at 2:00pm, followed by a gathering at the Newell farm at 4:00pm. Arrangements by Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, Watkins Glen.
