Nicholas P. Preston

Age 30, of Watkins Glen, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 22, 2009.

Nick served as a Deputy Sheriff with the Schuyler County Sheriffs Department after serving 4 years in the United States Air Force. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.

He is survived by his parents, William and Ella Preston of Hector; brother Michael Preston and nephew Sam Preston; grandmother Janice Preston; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 4:00-8pm. Funeral services will be held Friday at 12noon at the First Presbyterian Church, 6th St. & Decatur St., Watkins Glen; Rev. Richard Evans will officiate.
