Age 79, of Montour Falls, passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2022.

A COMMITTAL SERVICE AND INTERMENT WILL BE HELD AT SENECA UNION CEMETERY IN VALOIS ON FRIDAY, JULY 15 AT 3:30PM FOR PATRICIA AND SONNY CHAMPION. EVERY IS INVITED! ARRANGEMENTS WITH ROYCE-CHEDZOY FUNERAL HOME.
Pat was born in Malone, NY; the daughter of the late Raymond and Ada (Cromp) Johnson. Pat worked at the NY State Fire Academy in Montour Falls.
She was predeceased by her parents, and husband “Sonny” Leon Champion, brothers and sister-in-law, Harley and Susanne Johnson, and Raymond Gallow.
She is survived by her children, Jim and Dulcie (Gifford) Champion, Michael (Leah) Champion, and Michelle (Gregory) Harrington; sister, Darlene Johnson of Malone, NY; sister-in-law, Judy Gallow-Forney; brother-in-law, Delbert Champion; grandchildren, Jeffrey P., Idalise (Britz), Lilia J., Mary A., Stephen J., Timothy S., Brooks M., Chandler D. Champion, Chase Michael Champion, Jacob R. Harrington, Krista (Campbell) and Carl Standish, Dustin, Ian, Ryan, and Roselyn (Ennis) Campbell; great-grandchildren, Claire, Charlotte, Collette Standish, and baby Campbell on the way; very dear cousins, Richard and Terri (Pasto) Campbell, Mary Anne Campbell, Terri (Champion) and John Sujko, John, Chip, and Sarah Champion, Gloria Pangallo; nieces and nephews, Lisa Johnson (Collins and Mark), Desara Johnson (John), Paula Johnson Elswick, Rick Gallow (Penny), Heather (Gallow) and Jan Cote, and Nicole (Stephen) Ryan; and many other nieces and nephews; and many, many dear friends, too many to list!
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial donations in her memory be made to the Schuyler County Youth Baseball and Softball League Association.
