Patricia Garrett

Patricia Joan Duffee Garrett, wife of Michael David Garrett of Odessa, NY, passed away March 25, 2014 at the age of 61, following a battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Pat was born on January 6th, 1953 in Glen Ridge NJ. She is survived by her loving parents, Thomas and Barbara Duffee of Trumansburg, NY, her husband and her sons, Benjamin (Kaytlin), Greg (Crystal), Marshall, her brothers, Thomas F ll (Julia), and Michael (Nancy) along with nieces & nephews. Patricia grew up in New Jersey and moved to Trumansburg in 1968 with her family. She worked at Cornell University for 25 years. Her pride and joy was her family, and she excelled at being a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed watching the birds at her home in Odessa. She will be missed as a dancing partner for many friends who enjoyed her company and smiles. In her younger years she rode a motorcycle and loved swimming, a talent she passed on to her sons. The family would like to thank the wonderful women that helped Pat in her life journey: Darla Wright and Patty Pierce. Pat took such joy in teaching Patty to make apple pies this past fall, and found delight in their time together. Calling hours are from 11:00am-1:00pm on Saturday, March 29th at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A funeral service celebrating her life will follow immediately, with committal services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Odessa.
