Rev. Robert Hill
Age 72, of Watkins Glen, passed away February 22, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Rev. Dawn LaRee Hill; and parents, Richard and Hattie Hill; and brothers, Charles and Spurgeon Hill.
He is survived by children, Roxanne (Scott) Boryschuk, of Warrington, PA; Robert Hill, Jr. (Sarah Murch-Hill) of Oregon City, OR; and Nathaniel Hill of Watkins Glen; 8 grandchildren which he adored; Dusten, Michaela, Maddie, Abigail, Benjamin, Hope, Charlie and Ella; brothers; Richard Hill of Moravia, and Joseph Hill of Florida; sisters, Fannie (Gary) Allen of Kentucky, Shirley (LeRoy) Whittington of Florida; Jessie (LeRoy ”Bear”) Roy of Kentucky, and Edith Fox of Florida; mother-in-law, Violet DaBall of Groton; brother-in-law, David Tanner of Groton; and Charles Mason of Lansing; sister-in-law, Jane (Marv) Veo of Homer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert was a retired minister with the Church of Nazarene. He also worked at Watkins Glen Central School as a Custodian for many years. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 9th at 11:00am at the Grace Lee Memorial Wesleyan Church in Beaver Dams; the family will receive friends and relatives at the church prior to services from 10:00am-11:00am. A reception will follow services at the church. Interment at Woodlawn National Cemetery with military honors will be announced.
