Richard E. Wells

Age 91, of Rock Stream, NY, passed away March 24, 2024.  

He was born in Sayre, PA, the son of Grover and Ada Wells.   He served in the United States Navy from 1952-1955.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He owned and operated Wells Custom Cut Meats in Rock Stream for over 30 years.  He was also a skilled Mason and member of Local Union #3.  Some projects he built were the Watkins Glen Public Library, Dundee Water Plant, and the former Jamesway Building in Montour Falls.  His favorite project he ever built was his family.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He was also a caring friend and neighbor.
