Robert Bellman

Robert (Bob) H. Bellman
 
Passed away peacefully after a long illness at age 88. 

He grew up in Cincinnati OH and attended University of Illinois where he received a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering. He served in the US Army, and then worked in the aerospace industry for 5 years. Joining Corning Glass Works, he moved to Bradford, PA where he met his wife Elinora. 

He was an outdoor enthusiast and loved motorcycling, running, cycling, boating, flying small airplanes and hang gliders. An avid conservationist, Bob designed and built the family's passive solar house in Catlin. After retiring from Corning Inc. in 1995, he became a master gardener and he and his wife enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren, going for walks, and participating in church activities. 

Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years Elinora, children Robert and his wife Ljerka, and Jennifer, grandchildren Ervin, Sara and Emily, brother Jim and his wife Karen, sister Lois, and many nieces and nephews. 

Memorial service for Bob will be held at Moreland Presbyterian Church on Saturday May 10, 2025 at 11:00 am followed by reception at the church.

 In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert H. Bellman can be made to Moreland Presbyterian Church local mission fund, 3045 Moreland Road, Beaver Dams, NY.  Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home of Watkins Glen is assisting the family.
