Age 73, of Newfield, NY, passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2015. Sandy was born in Montour Falls on March 17, 1942, the daughter of Henry and Laurine Maine. She graduated from Watkins Glen Central School. Sandy worked as an Administrative Manager at Cornell University and retired in 1998. She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, David and Durwood Maine. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard Cooper; children, Kimberly (Kirk) Smith of Beaver Dams, Deborah (Greg) Clark of Burdett, Jason Cooper of Ithaca, and Brian (Debra) Cooper of Norwich; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 26, at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cayuga Heights at 1:00pm. She and her husband were members of the CNY All Ford Mustang Club.
