Sharon F. Miller
Age 68, of Rock Stream, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014. Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Kenneth M. Miller, daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Doug Yeater of Hector; and two grandsons, William and Alexander. She was predeceased by a sister, Marcia Schultz. Sharon was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 16, 1946, the daughter of Herman and Annabelle Schultz. She grew up in Indianapolis helping in her parents’ retail business. Sharon was a teacher for 35 years, remarking to friends that she taught “K to age 95” in her long career. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Stephens College in Columbia, MO and a Masters degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She and her husband moved to Rock Stream in 2001 from Lewisburg, PA, and opened the Anna Rose Bed & Breakfast. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing bridge and spoiling her grandsons. The family will receive visitors from 9:00am-10:00am on Monday, Nov. 17th, at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am at the funeral home; followed by burial at Glen Wood Cemetery in Geneva. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Schuyler Hospital Auxiliary, 220 Steuben St., Montour Falls, NY 14865.
